How it all began
Rhea
Rhea was born in northeast Alabama but moved to Jacksonville Beach, FL around the age of 3. She spent the remainder of her childhood and adolescence at the Beaches. Her nomadic lifestyle began when the family moved to northeast Arkansas in the very beginning of 1993, where she finished high school. College was spent in Missouri (at three different schools) before leapfrogging her way across the midwest from Minneapolis, MN to Chicago, IL. Grad school sent her to Nashville, TN before finally arriving in Harrisburg, PA, where she met Jeremiah. Rhea has a love of ballet, travel, food and fine wine. Her favorite season is summer and you’ll often find her in a lounge chair in the front yard with a good book and a glass of Rosé. She is fiercely loyal and blessed to have friends from coast to coast.
Jeremiah
Jeremiah was born and raised in Waynesboro, PA near the Maryland border. Mechanical engineers are born, not made so it was no surprise that he grew up as his father’s gopher, fetching tools while learning the art of fixing things. His paper route and summer lawn mowing enterprise funded his love of aviation, allowing him to build and fly model airplanes with his Dad. After college (PennState), Jeremiah moved to Harrisburg, PA where he bought a historic 3-flat brownstone with a view of the PA State Capital. He continued to hone his carpentry skills by renovating his first floor flat and translating those skills into historical woodworking, eventually helping to remodel the Governors office. Jeremiah cannot sit still so you will often find him working on his vintage motorcycle or car, building something in his wood shop, or crossing off items from his never ending “honey-do” list.
Together
Rhea & Jeremiah met in the spring of 2017 at a friendly get together at Midtown Tavern, a local haunt in downtown Harrisburg, PA. It was not love at first sight but the seeds were sown as their friendship grew. It continued to blossom for the next year in Harrisburg and helped to sustain Rhea during her stint in South Bend, IN before she moved back to Nashville in 2020. They continued to talk through the pandemic lockdown and the summer of 2020. Jeremiah was always the sympathetic ear during Rhea’s dating woes. Due to the pandemic and Jeremiah’s employer, he was not allowed to leave the State of Pennsylvania until May 2021. His first stop was Nashville, TN for where he spent the weekend eating tacos, going to the ballet, and helping Rhea prep for the building’s first porch party. That weekend, Rhea asked Jeremiah to go to Italy for the wedding of her friend’s Lisa and Daron Clark. He said, “yes”…
And the rest is history
A friendship blossomed into love. They got engaged on 01/01/2022 and can’t wait to celebrate their nuptials with all of you in the spring of 2024.
